            TUTORING SESSIONS AND PRICE

  • The instruction is based on the Orton-Gillingham approach, which means that the students are taught phonics and the rules that govern the English language explicitly. Instruction is also systematic, multisensory and tailored to the student's needs and pace. Great emphasis is placed on phonemic awareness, especially in the early levels.

  • Sessions can be done in person or online. In order to see significant gains, a minimum of 2 sessions per week is recommended.

  • The cost of tutoring is as follows:

     - 2 times x week is $350 CAD per month

     - 3 times x week is $500 CAD  per month

     - Siblings tutoring 2 times x week pay $600 CAD per month ($100 discount)

  • An initial assessment is performed in order to confirm that the program is suitable for the student and to determine a plan of action.

OUR TUTOR
DIANA SABADOS

I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish and English language and literature, as well as a teaching certificate. I was an English teacher and a translator in Romania, my country of origin, and I have also done some substitute teaching in Edmonton, Alberta.

I am the mother of three amazing children, one of whom has dyslexia and ADHD. This prompted me to dive into the topic of dyslexia and the science of reading. I am trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach and I have experience with the All About Spelling and the Barton programs.  I am flexible and creative in my teaching and I incorporate games whenever appropriate for the concept being taught or revised.
